Sarah G's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

November 8, 2000

Well, everybody, I'm tired. I'm constantly tired. Luckily, my morning sickness is completely gone. My appetite has skyrocketed.

I believe that I have asthma. I discovered it during my last pregnancy when I went to the doctor because I was having asthma attacks in the night. It resolved itself after Jacob was born. And now, here it is again. I wheeze if I laugh too much, or sneeze too much or talk too much. And it makes me cough. It might explain why I'm so very tired, and why walking across the room wearies me. It seems to help when I take an antihistimine, which I do if I can't stop sneezing. I'm allergic to mold. Anyone have asthma only during their pregnancies?

Jacob is very frustrated, learning to communicate. He frequently cries when I don't understand him, and I find that I have little patience. I feel terrible, but it is exhausting trying to understand his emphatic pointing and babbling. I try to teach him the words for the things he uses, but I can't seem to catch his attention for very long. I want desperately for him to tell me what he wants, and he desperately wants to tell me, and he simply cannot. I think he's getting in his molars, too, which certainly does not improve his mood.

We only nurse at night now, and just before naps. I kind of miss not nursing so often.
