Sorry for the long delay, folks. There just hasn’t been a great deal of news. :)
I had a midwife check up today, and heard only good things. I weigh 155.5 pounds (a total gain of 38.5 pounds), have a blood pressure of 100/68, am measuring exactly right on for 32 weeks (I’ll be 33 weeks on Thursday), and the baby’s heart rate is in the 140’s. My midwife also said that he seems to be head-down, and feels great. And it appears my abdominal muscles have separated, but that wasn’t any cause for concern. All in all, I’m very healthy. :) I’ll be back for my next check up in two weeks.
I won’t be tested for group B strep, unless my water breaks early, because I don’t have any of the risk factors. We didn’t really talk about what those risk factors are, mostly because I didn’t really care. (grin)
I’ll be going in tomorrow night for the hospital tour and a mini-birthing class. I’ll write about it the day after or so.
Jake really enjoyed playing with the doppler, and ‘helping’ find Logan’s heartbeat. But it was naptime, and we’d been waiting a very long time, and both of us are rather tired now. (sigh) He still hasn’t had his nap, although he is quietly watching a movie, instead of throwing a tantrum.
It’s getting harder and harder to nurse over this belly of mine, but not impossible. We just have to get a bit creative. :)
Happy Spring Equinox, everyone!
