Ketherine's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

November 15, 2000

I've been so busy the past two weeks doing fundraisers for the local library! I have taken Bartholomew with me a few times and he was very good. I kept him in the front carrier and he loved it. I had to stop using my sling because it was hurting my back too much. Apparently I have a slight curve in my spine which has been the cause of my recent back pain. I got a new front carrier that has a lumbar support and this seems to be better.

Bartholomew is now 4 months old and I have started him on solids. He is just so big (about 16 pounds) that breastfeeding is not enough for him. He eats much more than Sebastian did yet he is not as chubby. I have been nursing both of them less (their decisions not mine!) and so I have been slightly engorged. I would like to wean Sebastian soon but I know his little heart would break. I don't know how I would do it!

My husband and I have been discussing me getting a breast reduction after both babies are weaned. I was the one that brought it up because I can't see myself having DDD breasts for the rest of my life. Even if the cup size does decrease, I still will have all that extra stretch (if you know what I mean). Clothes no longer fit me properly and I am very discouraged with that. Don't get me wrong ... I absolutely love breastfeeding. It is just the jumbo, super size, extra large, big mama breasts that I am not enjoying. I have had them for almost three years now and I have officially decided that I do not want them this size for the rest of my life! I at least have to wait about three years until Bart is weaned ... unless I get pregnant again! Or, if we decide to definitely have more kids I will wait too.

Lots of love,
Ketherine
