April 26, 2000
Well, I'm 28 weeks pregnant and oh, so tired lately. I can hardly move around now and my back is soooo sore! I suppose it's because this is my second pregnancy, because with DS I did not feel this lousy. In fact, I worked full time right up until the end in a job where I had to walk around all the time! I'm just glad that I am at home right now because I do not have the energy to work.
I had to go to the hospital last Friday because I could not breathe. I have had bronchitis for about three weeks which has now turned into asthma. I now have to take two inhalers every four hours. I guess that's so much for not taking any medication during pregnancy for me. I was told that the effects of the medications on the baby are nothing compared to what the lack of oxygen can do, so I guess I am stuck taking them.
DS and I just came back from his first trip to the zoo and he is currently zonked out on his bed. He was so excited to see all the animals. The weather is so beautiful here today that I am glad we got to go out for a walk (even though I could hardly walk!). I am really going to have to try to get out with him after the baby is born. I remember that when he was born I was not organized enough to take him out. I guess that changes with the second baby because you are used to the routine.
As for my BF, not much has changed. I am still nursing which is surprising to many (if not all) people I tell. I have heard that most pregnant women who nurse quit before the third trimester. I can't imagine why. People always are asking me, why do I nurse if I am so tired? But I tell them that the nursing gives me a chance to relax and sit (or lie) down for a bit. They always look puzzled, though.
Love and kisses till next week,
Ketherine
