Jesus said "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matt. 19:14
Well, back from vacation!! We went to Lexington, Ky. to visit my best friend and her DH. We had the BEST time!!! We went hiking up to a natural bridge. It was a 3/4 mile hike but it was soo steamy that it felt like five miles, plus I had Isaiah in his sling and so I had an extra 20 pounds to carry. We sweated like crazy. It was all up hill, but boy was it worth it!!!!! It was sooooo beautiful and the view ... oh my gosh!!!!!!
You could walk up on the bridge and it was just glorious! We decided to hike back down a different way and by about halfway down my legs were shaking like crazy from dehydration and loss of sugar (we had taken water with us but just couldn't keep up with the sweat). Then it started to rain so we ran into a shelter and sat for a while which gave us some time to cool down and drink up. I then felt much better.
We also went to an entertainment place that had go-carts and putt-putt golf and batting cages and stuff. Boy, did we have a blast there!! All in all we had a great time on our vacation and didn't want to leave. Christina started crying the night before we had to go (it was soo cute), she wanted to stay and said she was going to miss my friend and her DH.
Isaiah actually did really well in the van with all the traveling and only had a couple times when he was like, "All right, I have had enough of sitting in this van, get me out!!" But then we would just take a break and get out and walk around and then he would be fine!!
I hope your week was fine!
God bless,
Karen
