Well, my sales meeting was cancelled last week, but they reset it for
tomorrow night. I won't mind so much since it's been pretty decent
weather. Jacob is officially 5 months old now, which is pretty hard to
believe. I've started giving him cereal in the evenings as a regular
thing.
His doctor said at his 4 month appointment that we could start on solids
any time after the visit, but I just don't feel any rush. We have tried
giving him cereal off and on before, but making it part of the routine
works better for him--us, too. I still nurse him before bed, though.
I'm not ready to give that one up yet. He seems happy enough, so I
guess we're doing ok.
I've started babysitting on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays now. Alex is 5
weeks younger than Jacob, but they get along pretty well. Alex's
parents are Jacob's godparents, and his mother and I went through our
pregnancies together. It’s a lot of work, but it's fun, and it allows
me to stay home with Jacob. Some of our other friends and family think
I'm nuts for taking on two infants at once, but if I worked in a
daycare, I might have as many as four in my charge! I don't really see
what the difference is. Maybe because one of them is mine?
Well, someone needs a diaper change, so I'd better go. Take care, all!
Jen, Jacob & Alex =)
