California is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I am writing this week’s entry from my in-laws’ computer in sunny Elk Grove, California. Man, is it great here! The kids have adjusted to the time difference fine. (We are from Texas.) Trey has been a little jewel. Today he seems a little more sleepy than usual, though.
I am going to say, though that our flight out here was wretched!!! Trey was horrible on the plane. For the first two-and-a-half hours of the four-hour flight anyway. He would not sleep, even though he was so tired he could hardly stand himself. He didn't want to nurse when I needed him to. (Taking off and the two times my milk "let-down." He FINALLY fell asleep about 20 minutes before we touched the ground. Of course he woke right up when the girls started screeching for their grandparents at the gate! It is all okay though, we survived. I think I may have some good ideas for when we make the trip home on the 15th. I'll not be spending too much time fretting about it right now!
Trey is doing great here. I think he really misses his daddy though. When David calls, he talks to Trey on the phone. "Ride-a-little-horsey-to-the-town." Trey just laughs! Nursing has been OK, too. A little tricky at first, too many distractions. He's a strong nurser, so I'm confident he'll be fine. I have gotten a few "raised eyebrows" though. Apparently, I should have figured out by now when I'll stop nursing. ANYWAY!
Things are great in California. Can't wait to tell you about more next week! Hugs to you and your nurslings!
Dawn and Trey
