I think I forgot to do an entry last week, can I blame it on Mommy brain?? Been pretty busy around here, that's probably why I forgot. Day care is keeping me so busy, I wish I could take a month off here towards the end, but we do need the money, and the parents do need me to be here -- so I better keep at it. I did have a shower on Sunday. It wasn't the best experience but I had wanted one for this baby too. MIL thinks I'm being greedy by having a shower for the 2nd baby, but I don't really care anymore what she thinks, I always do the "tacky" thing in her eyes. Only about 1/2 the people showed, though, so I was a little bummed, kinda feel like people don't care about me, but I shouldn't. My family was here and 2 of my friends and their families, so that was enough for me. We had a pancake breakfast, played games, which were too funny and then watched part of the Bronco game. We also got a small blizzard, but then things cleared up.
I had to go into the doctor's last week. I thought maybe I had a yeast or bladder infection, just something was causing cramps, so they had me come in. My OB wasn't there so I saw his partner, he hooked me to the fetal monitor and scheduled an ultrasound at my Thursday appointment. I guess I was having a lot of uterine irritability and contractions, so he upped my Terbutaline and also gave me some meds for a small infection, so hopefully it will help (although it hasn't yet). But the heartbeat looked good, no big dips or distress. I can't wait for the U/S though, I'm going to have him look one more time to really see that it's a boy, I'm just not convinced, and probably won't be until I see him in my arms. There's a part of me that thinks it's a girl still, so we'll see.
Sidney is doing pretty well, we both battled a small sniffle last week, but are better. She sure is hitting the terrible 2s now, just ornery and stubborn all the time now. Her chronic diarrhea seems to be getting better though, that is wonderful!!!! I should call the gastro doc and let him know, it's only taken almost two years, but hopefully soon it will be all gone. Then I hope she can start eating ice cream, I might try again around January and see.
Well, I better run, it's nap time and I have a ton of things to pick up
before everyone wakes. Hope all is well, happy nursing :)
