Chanda's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

October 9, 2000

I wish Sidney would take her nap. Yesterday, and so far today, she is really being stubborn about this nap thing. Up until now, she has been so good about it. She sleeps in our bed, so I lay her down, turn on a lullaby CD, read a book and leave the room. She falls asleep on her own within a few minutes. Yesterday she fought me for over an hour, I finally gave up and she ended up going to bed at 7 p.m. because she was so exhausted (she usually does around 9 or 10 p.m.). It's been 45 minutes so far today, I've gone in and told her to lay down about five times now. The other two day care kids are asleep, just not my child!! I really hope this passes soon.

I went to the fabric store yesterday and got all the stuff to make an Elmo costume. They didn't have a pattern, so I got a bunny costume and will try and work with it. They had this great red fur too, the extra I'm going to use and make her an Elmo pillow! I found a costume online and at the store, but they wanted $42 for it, I thought "no way." But after buying all the stuff it still cost me $32, so no real big savings ... but my pumpkin is worth it!!!

I get to pick up Sidney's pictures from Sears on Wednesday. I had her bring two of her Elmo dolls, so I bet they just turn out so cute. I can't wait to get them. Then I have my OB appointment on Thursday, I have to do my glucose test, wish me luck (that I don't puke!!). I bet I've really put on some weight too, my butt is huge!! I'll be curious to see. Other than that, things should be pretty routine. I know in just 8 weeks they'll do another ultrasound to determine if my fluid is low again. If it is, I'll be induced then. So I've been telling people I have 7-10 weeks left ... that sounds pretty close!! I can't wait though!!

OK, I better run and check on my daughter again!! Have a good week and happy nursing!
Chanda :)
