Chanda's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

September 19, 2000

I had my OB checkup last week. Everything looks fine. I have to do the glucose test next time, yuck!!! I asked him what would happen if I couldn't keep that drink down and he said they'd have to hook me up to an IV. We'll see what happens, I have a lot of problems drinking stuff, and also with textures on my tongue, I guess I have a very strong gag reflex.

I've gained 17 pounds so far. Still looking a bit small though, but I'm not worried this time. I carried exactly the same with Sidney and she was six and a half pounds at birth. I just bought three maternity tops. I was so tired of wearing hubby's big, baggy, ugly t-shirts everyday. I didn't feel or look prego -- just sloppy. So finally, I'm starting my third trimester. I think with fall coming soon, things will start to move faster. I better get started on Sidney's Halloween costume!!!

Sidney is doing OK. She's been battling some congestion at night, so I pulled out the humidifier already -- it's helping. Then last night she got hit with another batch of diarrhea, poor thing. It was about 12:30 a.m. and she was just screaming in pain. I tried to clean her up as quick as I could. I lathered on a big, thick glob of Desitin, then just held her. She did go back to sleep pretty quick. I just wish she'd outgrow this already! I couldn't go back to sleep, I laid there until about 4:00 a.m. So, now I'm so tired. I haven't slept good in about two to three weeks. It's not even the pregnancy causing it ... just me unable to stay asleep anymore.

Well, I'm going to run. I hope all is well and happy nursing!!

Chanda :)
