Chanda's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

August 14, 2000

OK, had the ultrasound this morning . looks like a boy! We're in shock still, but I'm getting used to him real quickly. I think I spent too much time hoping for another girl, so the news was a shocker at first. Now I need to find a boy name, can't use the name I had picked out for the girl (Mackenzie) but I guess I have 18 weeks to find one. We had thought of Alec the other day, but then hubby said, oh it's probably a girl anyway. So we'll see.

I sure am tired today though. Got a little bug last week, sick for a few days, but better now. Sidney also had it, puked all over me. We thought she had a bladder infection too, she kept crying and grabbing herself, but she checked out okay at the doctor's office. I don't have any day care kids today, so we've just been napping around. I think things will be picking up here soon though, won't have many free days here soon.

This little boy sure does kick and spin a lot. On Wednesday, when I wasn't feeling too hot, we tried to go out for dinner, but I had to leave as soon as our dinner came (poor hubby) and when I got home, the baby was flipping and tossing -- made me toss my cookies, I felt like I was on a roller coaster. I felt better afterward, but ended up sleeping the rest of the day and some of the next.

But the day care is going well so far. The little 8-week-old is a handful, but giving me and Sidney practice for when ours comes home. She does really well with the baby, tries to kiss and hug him. I think she'll be a good big sister. Now I just need to get some boy clothes (for mine), or he'll be wearing hand-me-down dresses!!

OK, I'm going to run, I need a rest and I just feel like I'm rambling today. Hugs to all and happy nursing!!
