I survived my first week of child care!!! I had the 6-week-old only three days and then a 3-year-old boy for just one morning. The 3-year-old wasn't my favorite -- we'll have to see how this Friday goes, I don't know if I want to continue with him. I also forgot how high maintenance infants can be, goodness. The 6-week-old, Dylan, sure can be fussy!
Yesterday was real bad, nothing made him happy, I couldn't set him down for even a second, he even cried when I held him. It sure is hard trying to make lunch for a starving toddler when a fussy infant has you tied up. But hopefully it won't always be like that, I'm sure it will get better as he gets older.
Sidney was sick this weekend, poor dear. Puked all over me (four times!!!) on Sunday. Really hasn't eaten since then either. She had a fever yesterday, but seems to be getting better now, must have just been a stomach flu or something.
I had my 10-year high school reunion this last weekend. Boy that was sure weird. I can't believe how the stuck-up snobs are still stuck-up snobs, don't people grow up and get over it? I got to see a few friends I knew, that was nice, took some pictures and then headed home. It's weird to think in another 10 years I'll see these people again, I can just imagine what everyone will look like. Some classmates looked like it was just yesterday that they were in school, but then there were a few I didn't even recognize ... big change! It was neat, though.
I have an ultrasound next Monday, so if everything works out and baby cooperates, maybe we'll know the sex by my next entry. I had a dream I was giving birth to eight babies the other week, I think I delivered six of them and then woke up!!! Then the other night I dreamt it was a girl. I had a few dreams with Sidney, but they were always boys until the very end, then I dreamt she was a girl ... we're hoping for a girl this time too ... but we'll just wait and see, I know a boy will be a shock at first, but I'll love him just the same (just never been around boys much, so girls always seemed easier to me) but if I'm going to have four kids, I need to get used to the idea of some boys in there!
OK, I'm going to run, many hugs and happy nursing!!!!
