I have to make this a quick one. I just found out I'll be driving to Iowa in the morning along with my mom and Grandma. My Grandma's step-mom passed away last weekend, so we're taking her to the funeral. Sidney is going too, I hope we survive the nine-hour car ride. I think it may be a little tricky, though but I'll try and keep her entertained, if I'm not car sick myself from this morning sickness!!!
We took Sidney to see a gastroenterologist last week. She's had very loose stools/diarrhea since birth and I've taken her to the PCP several times for it, but he just kept reassuring me she'd grow out of it… but she hasn't. So they are running some blood tests on her, checking for things like wheat or milk protein allergies. I also had to get two stool samples (I don't even want to tell you how hard that was, along side my morning sickness... it wasn't pleasant!!!) But I should get both results back sometime this or next week. They also want to keep an eye on her weight, she had been in the 75th-80th percentile until about 10 months, since then she's dropped into the 25th percentile. So depending what happens, there may be more testing down the road, but I'm going to stay positive for now.
Nursing is going the same, nipples are getting bit sore!!! But I'll keep it up as long as I can. Okay, I better run, so much to do.
Many HUGS and happy nursing,
Chanda
