It's official, a positive test was done at the doctor’s on Thursday!!!! Yeah!!! My EDD is now 12/23/00, about two weeks before Sidney's 2nd birthday. I think I'm still in shock though, maybe at my first OB visit I'll let it sink in more. I'm sticking with the same doctor that delivered Sidney, he's a FP, but super nice. So far all I've been is super tired! Like tonight, as soon as I'm done with this, I'll be heading to bed with my peanut.
She was tuckered today, she went down at 6:45, which is pretty unusual for her. What's weird for me is that I've been waking up at, like, 6:30 in the morning and not being able to get back to sleep, so I get up. How yucky is that!! But I guess it will help me get used to getting up for the day care kids. I was going to just do afternoon and evening care, but I haven't gotten any calls, so I'm going to take any hours I can. I may have a 3-year-old boy for overnights -- his mom just called today, so we'll see if she calls back. No other leads other then that. This sure is taking longer than I thought it would.
Sidney is doing great. She's enjoying being able to nurse more now. Since I had her cut back to three times a day so I could try and get prego, now she has free access again. I've still been giving her two bottles of lactose free milk a day, just to give me a little break. But it's so funny when they get hurt, her hand is up my shirt, searching frantically for that boob, I guess it has magical healing powers??? She banged her head at my mom’s yesterday on the door frame, ouch. So I put ice on her head while she nursed!
Oh, we did have a trial run Friday, I watched a little 1-year-old boy, his center was closed for Good Friday. But it didn't go too well. Sidney and he did not like each other. But he would hit, she ended up with a few bumps from him. I'm glad he wasn't a full-timer of mine.
Well, we had a pretty good Easter. I tried to do a little egg hunt at home before we went to MIL’s, but Sidney didn't want much to do with it. We did another one a MIL's and she did better, I think because everyone was standing around and when she would put the egg in her basket everyone would clap and cheer, she thought that was fun!
Well, I'm going to hit the hay. I'm so tired, ugh!!! I also have lots of cramping, which drives me crazy, but it's just like it was when I was pregnant with Sidney, so probably not much to worry about. I just hope don't have the 18 weeks of Braxton Hicks again, I think I was borderline crazy with those. Oh well! Oh, they say you show sooner with #2... I'm only 5 1/2 weeks and my pants hurt already, this is crazy!!!!
Many HUGS and happy nursing :)
