Chanda's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

March 1, 2001

Jake is sleeping in his swing, so I thought Id try and get some written today. He woke up alot last night to nurse, about every 2 hours, so I'm a bit pooped. On Tuesday, he got his 2 month check up and shots. The shots gave him a fever for about 24 hours and he was pretty fussy that night too. But he's doing well now. He's up to 11.12lbs and 23 1/4in long now. (At this time Sidney was 11.5lbs and 23in...pretty close in size). But doc said he looks great, which he does!! He's still nursing like crazy, especially in the evening, I just have to sit and nurse(I guess it gives me a little break to relax though) but it is hard sometimes. Sidney wants me to play with her after all the day care kids leave, but Jake makes it hard sometimes. When daddy is home he carries Jake around in the front pack, which he loves(or plays with Sidney).
We taped Sidney sleeping the other night and showed the doc the tape. He's convinced it's night terrors, which sucks because there's nothing I can do to help her. Last night she had one and Brett turned on the closet light and talked to her, and she settled down pretty quick after that. So I guess that will be our plan when they happen. I've also been mixing her lactose free milk with 2% and so far no problems. I'm starting to wonder though, maybe she was never lactose intolerant, maybe she's just been having these night terrors all this time????? I wish she could talk and tell me what's going on, it's so hard to guess. Sidney went ot lunch with daddy today, so I'm home with Jake and one other child(the other 2 are sick). It will be a nice break.
I think we're going to go look at new cars tonight, a Honda CRV. Since Brett used to sell Honda's, he can get a really good deal if we trade our Civic in. I'm not totaly in love with the CRV's, but I just need something bigger!!!
Well, I'm going to check in with my boards, hope all is well and happy nursing!! Chanda
