Chanda's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

February 20, 2001

Well, I better try and get my entry done. I never get a break during nap time anymore. Jake doesn't know what "nap time" means yet!! I only have one other kid today, so I was looking forward to catching up online, but Jake has other plans, as usual. So he's laying on my lap, on his Boppy pillow, nursing off and on. I guess this is my "break" so I better enjoy it.
Jake by the way is doing great. Growing like a weed. He sure loves to smile and coo. Talks alot more then Sidney did. I was up with Jake as Brett was leaving this morning and Brett leaned over to say hi to him, Jake gave out the biggest coo-squeal, it was so cute, tongue hanging out and everything. I bet that made Daddy's day!!
Sidney still isn't doing so well at night. The doc said to try giving her some Benedryl every so often, and it did help the first night. She wimpered just a few times. But I didn't give her any last night and she flipped and flopped, cried and whined! I wish I knew why. We may go look at toddler beds, maybe if she slept next to us in the room at first?? I don't know where else we'd put it though, we need another bedroom!! I'm ready for a house!!
Jake has his shots next week. Since Brett started a new job, our indurance runs out at the end of the month, so we're havng to get his shots a little early. Then we'll have to go 3 months without insurance...knock-on-wood we're okay without it for that time.
Well, I shoud eat something, even though I still have 30lbs to lose!!! But I guess I need to look at the 30lbs I already lost(since I gained 60lbs this time, ouch!!!). Hope all is well, hugs and happy nursing!! Chanda

PS: Jake still desn't like pacifier's. I did get him to take an Avent one a few times, but I have to hold it in his mouth while he sucks on it...defeats the purpose of being able to get up, might as well let him nurse on me then! Maybe someday!!!
