Chanda's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

February 12, 2001

Jake is doing well, he had his 6 week apt last Friday. He's up to 10.14lbs and 22in long now. Sidney was 8.9lbs and 21in at 6 weeks. So he's just a tad bigger. He's nursing great still. I've been trying to get him to take a pacifier, he likes to nurse all-the-time!! But he hates them. I guess he's just my little boob-man. Jake is really starting to respond to us too, lots of smiles and coo's. Sometimes the left side of his lip curls up, so we call him Elvis! He is a gassy kid though, tooting all the time (or grunting and squirming).
No big plans for Valentines day. I'll have 5 kids that day(2 of them mine) so we'll probably make cookies and eat lots of chocolate!! Brett got a new job selling cars, but it's w-a-y down south, so probably won't see him much that day. Oh well, no biggie for me.
Sidney has been having night terrors it seems. I actually had the doctor check her out too, I thought maybe her tonsils were causing her to gasp and cry in her sleep. But he seems to think it's these night terrors causing them. She hasn't been sleeping well, lots of crying and thrashing about. She did have a fever this weekend too, she must have caught something from the waiting room at the dr's office (never fails!!). But so far hasn't developed into much more than a runny nose.
I also got a new little 2 year old girl in my day care. She's very sweet, hopefully some of it will rub off on Sidney. She's just become the biggest bully anymore, a handful at that!! I thought having some other kids to play with would be fun for her, but she just looks at it as having someone else to beat and pick on during the day!! Is this that terrible 2's I've been hearing about, it really can't be this bad can it??? Oh well!!
Well, I better run, hugs and happy nursing-Chanda
