January 30, 2002

Gosh, it's been so long since I've bee on here. Our webtv was down for a few weeks, but we're up and working again!! Just a few new things going on. Sidney is finally in speach therapy now, we're going twice a week until our insurance runs out(they only approved 2 months worth, which stinks!!!!) There's sure alot of sounds she can't make, but hopefully we can work on them and get her talking so others can understand her. We're getting her hearing tested tomorrow, just to make sure that's not the problem. When she was born, she failed the first screening on her left ear, but passed the next day. I hope she passes tomorrow. We've also been trying to get Sidney to sleep in her toddler bed(Elmo bed). She puts up such a fuss at bedtime, but ends up sleeping there the whole night....it's right next to dads side of the bed. Jake is next!! We might get bunk beds and put them in our room, we'll see.
Jake is doing well, been sufferig from a bug though. They put him on Amoxicilian though, which is helping, so he's sleeping great again(knock on wood!!). He's still nursing, was alot there for a week or so, but back to about 4 times a day. I'd like to get it down a little more, but hopeully with time. Since he won't drink milk, I found he will drink those yougurt drinks, I think they're called Duranimals(by Dannon) so he's getting calcium that way at least. But other then that, both kids are getting along fine. I just saw the doc this week as well, got a pap, and swithced from Paxil to Zoloft(less side effects). I also have bursitis in my right hip, that's fun!!!
Well, nap time is about over, better get the other kids up. HUGS for now, and happy nursing :)
