Well, the parties were a success!!! We had our own b-day parites at Chuck E Cheese(much easier in my opinion!!). Brought our own cakes(Jake had Monsters Inc. and Sidney had Cinderella). We had about 6 other kids and about 15 adults, it was fun. Even Jake got into the ball pit and rode some rides. I took a ton of pictures, hopefully I can get them in my e-photo album soon. So now Jake is 1 and Sidney is 3. That's so hard to believe, I barely remember having them!! Where has time gone??
They both got their well-baby checks too. Sidney is weighing in at 34lbs(76%) and is 38" (74%) tall. She's doing great, did get one shot, her 2nd flu shot, and screamed before, during and after!! But her lungs are clear, we really haven't done the nebulizer for awhile. She was sick a couple of weeks ago, so we did the inhaler a few times, but no coughing now(yeah!!!).
Jake is also doing well, he's such a little peanut though. He measured 27 3/4in(3%) and weighs 20lbs(15%). He still won't drink milk, doc suggested strawberry syrup(since the chocolate hasn't worked), but he's still not big on it. But she's really not worried though since he still nurses about 5 times a day. I was hoping to get him down to maybe twice, but I'll wait until I can get him to drink more milk. It's looking like a dog allergy now too. He's had some dogs lick him in the face a few times, causing horrible rash-like bites all over his face and chest. We're continuing the Zyrtec, since hubby has a mental attachment to the dog...I wouldn't miss the dog hair!!!! So we'll probably get Jake tested next year to see what else he's allergic to.
We had a short visit from my Aunt Sue last weekend. Sidney and her didn't get along very well though. I had asked my doc about advice for an angry toddler, she gave me some hand outs, but I haven't read them yet. Sidney gets so mean and nasty sometimes. She told Aunt Sue to go home at one point. And during a tantrum at Target(which isn't like Sidney anyways) Aunt Sue popped her on the butt(which I wasn't real happy with, but didn't say anything). But hopefully her next visit will be better, if I can figure out why Sidney is so mad all the time(??).
Well, lastly, hubby started his new position selling cars. He's selling used instead of new...so far doing really well too. Lets hope for some nice paychecks, we need them!!
Well, that's all for now, HUGS to all and happy nursing :) Chanda
