During the past week, Sam's appetite for solid foods has increased dramatically. I was
with him 11 uninterrupted days, and he nursed all the time, but also wanted more of other
foods. He feels heavier, and we're curious how much he weighs now. My guess is that he is
a little over 21 pounds -- still tiny according to everyone else. He is so perfectly
proportioned, though. He is perfect, period.
He has had cradle cap terribly, though. It really bothers him. Sometimes he scratches it
so much he causes it to bleed. The doctor told us to use Head & Shoulders every two or
three days for a few weeks and see if that helps. It does seem to help for about one day
after we use it, but then it returns as bad as ever.
Last night, Sam had a terrible cough during the night. It sounded like a very productive
cough, and sometimes he even choked. It was strange, though, because this morning after
he woke up, the cough all but disappeared. He is perfectly healthy today.
One of Sam's favorite words lately is "naked!" It is so funny -- the fewer clothes he has
on, the happier he is! I have to run. I've skipped my fitness class at the YMCA for a
week now, and I really want to go tonight.
