Lena is going through a phase that requires her to put everything on her head. It's so funny to watch her try to balance everything from Cheerios to stuffed animals. The only thing she has really had any luck with is washcloths. She looks so proud crawling around the house with a washcloth on her head. Then she looks at us and pats the top of her head saying, "hat?" We don't have the heart to tell her that Cheerios and washcloths are not hats, so we play along. : )
Lena and Liberty have both been trying to say more words. They can both say "hat," "up," "book," "mama" and "dada" appropriately. Last night, while playing with her dump truck, Lena discovered that she can say "dump." She really enjoys saying that. She's said it over and over for about 12 hours now. I think she's trying to teach Liberty how to say it. That's so nice of her.
I've been looking into attending some local La Leche League meetings. I've wanted to from the very beginning, but there weren't any close enough to my teeny tiny town. I just found out about one 30 miles away. I think it would be nice to talk to other nursing mothers face to face instead of always over the internet. The support from the other nursing mothers on all of my email lists has been great, so I would imagine face to face support would be great as well. I honestly don't know anyone near me who is currently breastfeeding. However, that may change since last week my husband's cousin and his wife welcomed their first baby--congratulations Troy and Selena and welcome Austin! : )
Have a good week!
