sleep no more

My munchkin has suddenly decided that he does not need to sleep...at all. That means that I don't get to sleep either. I am a walking zombie.
He sleeps from about 11:30-3:45AM then from 4:20-6:`30 and then from 7:00-8:00 (maybe) then he's up till 10 or so. One 1-1.5 hr nap then he's up all day till bedtime. He MIGHT take short naps in the car from one destination to the other but thats it. My mom is certain that it is because he is not eating enough but he's not even nursing every time he gets up! She thinks I should just stop nursing him now and be done with it. She did not do it and therefore it must be a bad thing...or at least not at good as what she did for us. She thinks I'm stiffling him because he has to come to me for food.
I'm too exhausted to fight with her and maybe thats a good thing. I'll just keep doing my thing and being REALLY glad that I get a vacation next week with my whole family. Lots of people who get up in early in the morning and would love to play with my baby at 8 AM! Glory be to sleep.
Even so, he is still the greatest joy I've ever known. He makes me laugh even at 3 am when I'm so tired I could weep. Gotta have a sense of humor about it right?
