Breastfeed.com's "Why I Choose to Breastfeed" Essay contest

Our breastfeeding stories contest was a huge success, and we learned so much about all of you and your commitment to nursing! Some entries made us laugh, others made us cry. But the winning entry was so inspirational that it took top honors.
The winner is Penny Thomas of Alberta, Canada! She is the mother of three breastfed children who is expecting her fourth child in September 2002.
A thrilled Thomas chose the Medela Pump In Style Companion breast pump as her prize. "I truly hope my breastfeeding story can help to inspire many women who are deciding whether or not to nurse," she says.
